Carlhian and Beaumetz Paris
A rare giant black marble table regulator four glass of long duration
.
The black marble and brass case is supported by four demi lune gilded
feet. The clock stands an impressive 18.5" tall, having a visible
brocot escapement seen through a two piece white enamel dial with
Roman numerals. The movement is of Long duration, Running accuratly
for three weeks and striking, most French clocks will run past their
set duration, so this clock was originally designed for an accurate
two week duration on a single wind. The clock has a good quality
French drum movement with an outside count wheel. The clock strikes
the hours and half on a nickel silver bell. The movement is engraved
by the maker Carhlian and Baumitz Paris. Circa 1860-70.
A very impressive clock which I am very pleased to own
