The clock made by the
Coulliet Family St Nicholas d'Aliermont France. A respected factory
which produced carriage clocks for the English market as well as
other manufacturers and retailers.
The brass cased clock has an uncommon design,although very similar
to that of the Boite Jonc made by Duverdry and Bloquel of the same
area. The clock having smooth molded shape top and bottom with grooved
edges to the side pillars. A delicately shaped handle with a square
cut glass viewer below. The movement is of eight day duration original
cylinder escapement, stamped with the arrow mark of Coulliet. The
dial is cream enamel with black Roman numerals.
