A fine quality oval carriage clock, attributed to Le Roy Paris. The
clock has a finely engraved satin gilded case. It has a silvered
engine turned engraved dial, showing the main round white enamel
dial with three subsidiary dials. These being full calendar, days
of the week and the alarm. The movement is a week duration Grande
Sonnerie strike. Having the usual full Grande Sonnerie, petit Sonnerie
and strike silent lever to the base. The clock is attributed to
the maker Le-Roy. I have had many carriage clocks over the years
and this is the best oval I have owned. The clock stands an impressive
8.75" tall with the handle up.Fully restored to a high standard.
We have, by request re-stripped the clock down to reveal a makers
stamp of H L, behind the calender work on the front plate.
