A good Corniche cased striking carriage clock by the highly respected
maker Henri Jacot.
The eight day clock has a good white enamel dial with Roman numerals
in very good original condition. An oval glass viewer to the top
of the clock, exposing the quality lever escapement. The movement
is fully numbered and stamped between the winding squares with the
Jacot trade mark. The clock circa 1890 strikes the hours and half
on a coiled gong.
The box is red / brown leather with a Brighton and Hove Goldsmith
and Silver Smith label to the top. The over-all condition of the
box is quite good for its age.
