Maurice (E. & CO.)
Their Paris address was Rue Charlot 75. Maurice exhibited at the
Paris exhibition of 1889 and was recognised as a particularly fine
maker of carriage clocks.
This is a very good example of their work. The clock is in very
good condition with a gilded case, silvered masked dial which has
Arabic numerals and a floral design towards the centre.
To the sides of the clock are Corinthian columns and a delicate
decorative freeze running both top and bottom.
The movement has a fine lever platform and is eight
day in duration striking and repeating on a coiled gong.
