Richard Johnson of Nottingham. A good oak Longcase by Richard Johnson of Nottingham not recorded. This is a 13" painted dial, having a simple floral images painted to the spandrels and break arch and having Arabic numerals. The oak case has mahogany cross banding and is a dark warm brown colour. The hood has swan neck pediments which is also cross banded with mahogany. The movement is eight day duration and the clock strikes the hours on a bell. The overall height of the clock is 81"
