A light oak longcase clock by Gilbert Bannerman of Banff Scotland. The clock has a brass dial with engraved centre, silvered chapter ring with name boss to the break arch. The clock has good proportions with nice touches such as the ebony stringing, there is also an oval walnut inlay to the base.
The movement is eight day in duration and strikes the hours on a bell. It has a subsidiary seconds and calendar work above the six o'clock position.
