This is a stunning quality clock made by W Nickisson of Newcastle Under Lyme. The case is mahogany, inlayed with musical instruments and other motifs. The inlay consists of Satin wood, ebony and boxwood stringing. The dial retains all its original paintwork or ground and has had the numerals re-touched to make the legible as they would have been when it was first made. The movement has been fully restored and will require no maintenance for many years. It is eight day in duration and strike the hours on a bell.
