Its nice to be able to look at a piece of art and have
such a history behind the artist and the image.
The artist is responsible for 'Albert' the dummy, that
was used to fool the Germans during parades whilst fellow
prisoners escaped. Later made into a second world war
film.
The image painted in gouache and watercolour was produced
for the purnel publication of the famous book Treasure
island.
